What we BELIEVE

WE READ THE WORD OF GOD...

We love to study and meditate on the word of God. Believing that it has been designed by the Creator to offer comfort, guidance, hope and it contains the power to redirect us all. In this ever-changing world it becomes our lighthouse - signposts to guide our way.

Acts 17:10-13 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few. But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.

WE PREACH THE WORD...

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Mission

Isaiah 61:1-2 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe..."he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ; till we all come in the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of Cod, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." (Ephesians 4:12,13)

We believe in God the Father, and His Son our Lord-Jesus Christ... "who is the faithful witness, the first begotten from the dead, the Prince of the Kings of the earth". (Revelation 1:5)

We believe in the Holy Spirit the Comforter, who has come to indwell, fill, empower, annoint and lead into all truth. (John 16:13)

We believe in the Holy Scriptures, divinely inspired... We trust Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord... We rejoice in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit... We praise God for Healing by His stripes. (Isaiah 53:5)

We believe in the communion of the Lord's Supper; as we remember our Lord's death until He comes (I Corinthians 11:26) ... that when Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall we also appear with Him in glory. (Colossians 3:4)

We believe in Christ's command to preach the gospel to every creature, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

We believe that Jesus Christ is our Life, our Peace, our Light, our Salvation, our Lord, our Wisdom, Righteousness, Sanctification and Redemption ... the King of Kings and Lord of Lords (I Timothy 6:15) ... the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. (Revelations 1:11)
